Twisted Spoke For Motorcycle Wheels

I have tried to cover all the beginner questions that I had wondered about when I started triathlon, but was always too scared to ask because I thought they were too silly.

What do I wear? Do I need a trisuit?

You will need swim gear for the swim (you will be given a hat to wear. If it’s in a pool, you have to leave it on the side when you get out. If it’s in a lake, you keep it with you and get to take it home afterward). For the bike, you will want to put a top on, and maybe shorts. Leave them in transition with your run top. The bike top must have the number on the back, and the run top must have the number on the front. Do this beforehand. If you have a trisuit then the best bet is to get a number belt, and pin the number to that. Then all you have to do is twist it round to the back for the bike, and front for the run. You can wear the trisuit all the way through your race, and may not need any other clothing. No, you do not need a trisuit, however.

What is Transition?

This is where you leave your bike. there will be some racking, and you need to find your race number on the racking (usually numerical). Your bike must be hooked on the racking by the seat, with the front wheel pointing out towards you and your handle bars closest to you. Your front wheel must point out on the same side that your race number sticker is stuck. Make sure your bike is left in an easy gear. In transition you will also need:
